A Summation report is an overview of data grouped by specified criteria. Data is displayed in groups and can include a chart and calculations. You also have the option to display the data that makes up the group. Main group summation results can be exported to a CSV file.
Module
Select the main module that the report is based on.
Filters
From the list on the left, drag or double click the field you wish to filter on. The module fields will appear at the top for selection. Related modules can be expanded to select a field from a related module.
- Available At Run Time: check this box to allow users to modify the filter when they run the report.
- Modify Structure: Click this button to set the operators for the filters listed. By default, the report will filter to meet all the requirements of the filters listed (AND):
This can be modified for more advanced filtering, so you can change the requirements to meet filter #1 AND either filter #2 or filter #3:
To remove a filter, hover over the top right hand side of the filter and click the little garbage can icon.
Groupings
If you are creating a summation report you will need to choose a Grouping for your report results. This is the field of fields that your report results will be grouped by. For example, if you want to see how many open opportunities each user has you might create an opportunity centric summation report and group the results by the Owner field.
From the list on the left, drag or double click the fields you wish to group by in the report.
To change the order of the grouping fields: click on drag the boxes in the order desired.
To remove a grouping field: hover over the top right hand side of the box and click the little garbage can icon.
Careful! If you are new to working with summation reports we strongly recommend choosing just one grouping field, or two at most.
Select Display Columns
From the list on the left, drag or double click the fields you wish to display and summarize in report groupings.
To change the order of the columns: click on drag the boxes in the order desired.
To rename the display label: click in the white box and type the label as you would like it to appea.
To remove a field: hover over the top right hand side of the box and click the little garbage can icon.
Drill Down
This section is optional. If populated, this will create a summation with details report. The details will be expandable in the report results. If you are only interested in the grouped summary data, then you can leave this section blank.
From the list on the left, drag or double click the fields you wish to display in the drill down.
To change the order of the drill down columns: click on drag the boxes in the order desired.
To rename the display label: click in the white box and type the label as you would like it to appear.
To remove a field: hover over the top right hand side of the box and click the little garbage can icon.
Ordering
If you want to specify the sort ordering, drag or double click the desired fields from the left hand list. You can order by any number of fields.
To change the order of the ordering: click on drag the boxes in the order desired.
To change the sort direction: click the dropdown to change from Ascending or Descending.
To remove a field: hover over the top right hand side of the box and click the little garbage can icon.
Chart
If you want to display a chart in the report, select a chart type. You will need to also select the data to plot in the chart.

General
Name: Enter the report name.
Description: Enter a short description of the report.
Currency Conversion: If any currency fields are being displayed in the report, and multiple currencies are being used in Zurmo, specify whether you want to convert the currencies.
- Do not convert: Select this option if you do not want to convert the currency and want to display the value as it appears on the record. For summation reports, this might result in a calculation of multiple currencies without taking the currency into account. If you are only using one currency in Zurmo, this is the default option.
- Convert to base currency: Select this option if you would like to convert the different currencies into the base currency.
- Convert to base currency and then to a spot currency: Select this option if you would like to display all amounts in a currency that is not the base currency. The system will convert all amounts first to the base, and then to the currency selected.
Rights and Permissions: Set who has the ability to view and modify the report.
After You Run a Report
After you run a report, you will notice different possible options:
Under the Options button, you may have the ability to Edit, Clone, or Delete the report.
The Export button allows you to export your report results into a CSV file. Only the header fields will be exported.
Filters: check or uncheck the box to view the run time filters.
Grid: check or uncheck the box to view the grid report results.
SQL: check or uncheck the box to view the SQL query behind the report.
