Increase viewable opportunities in Kanban mode

Please could it be possible to increase the number of viewable opportunities in Kanban mode? I really like this visual representation of projects/sales at various stages but we often quote on more than the 50 limit.
It would be great if we could change this and increase the number of viewable opportunities in this Kanban mode of viewing.
I saw a link below:

Can anything be done?
I'd be most grateful,
James

Good news here, we have made improvements to the opportunities kanban to allow the administrator to set a higher limit to the number of tiles available on the Opportunity kanban board in the Admin >> Global Config area.

If your search returns a lot of results it will now show you the maximum number of tiles it can and tell you that not all tiles are displayed rather than simply showing a message that too many results were returned as it did before.

This change will included in our next release expected December 2015.

This link is referring to changes that can be made to Zurmo Open Source https://tr.im/8pF33. While we can increase the record limit for the commercial release it comes with some drawbacks. First, increasing the record limit to something like 200 will cause massive lag times while the records load to become viewable the end user. Second, a special edit to the KanbanBoardExtendedGridView.php file will have to be made after every update, each update will reset to the default amount of 50.

Two options which may be a good workaround.
- Use the Advanced Search to create filters which will produce results of 50 of fewer results. This can be frustrating when the end result is 51 and you cannot see any of your records due to the limit. We have a feature request to change this going forward https://tr.im/ycYOn. If there are more than 50 records the user will see the first 50 records and a message stating, 'Showing 50 of 100'.

  • If the need for an increase is for evaluations, for example total Closed and Lost opportunities, perhaps a report would be a better option. You can create the report with the criteria you need and there is not a 50 record limit.

I think the idea of pagination within the Kanban view when there are more than 50 results is great. That would make the user experience much more friendly rather than an error type screen, and should keep the load times pretty swift.

PS If going the pagination approach then the default sort order should be opportunity value descending, this should ensure that results appear in most Kanban columns and you see the most important/valuable opportunities on the first page.
